So, by the sounds of it you have a pretty good understanding of questioning and self-monitoring. Remember, asking questions is important in helping us understand things better, so never stop questioning!

Let's try a new strategy, this strategy is called Analyzing.

Think about what Analyzing is and why it is important.

When you Analyze you are looking for details and facts to help you better understand what is happening.

Analyzing is like using clues (facts and details) to solve a mystery (better understand).

Analyzing is evidence.

So let's try it...

Analyze the text. What facts and details are important? What opinion and thoughts do you have based on the facts and details in the article?

Remember we should always be asking, why am I learning this and why is this important?

Don't forget to think about the "bias" question for homework. The question is...

Why and how could there a "bias" when sampling a population? Is a census more accuate? Think about the fact we only asked the girls in our sample survey.
